Q: Why are more women affected than men?
Women tend to have more cellulite than men because they have long fibrous bands of tissue fibers with fat coming up into it, causing uneven support of the skin. This is what makes the skin dimple and sometimes even bulge.
Men tend to have a more supportive criss-cross structure of tissue fiber beneath the skin and fat. This supportive structure is one of the reasons men don’t get cellulite as often.
