Face Lift (Rhytidectomy)

Face Lift Goal: The face lift procedure (also known as a rhytidectomy) is used to smooth and tighten loose skin on face and neck to restore more pleasing contours to the face and neck.

Face Lift Method: Facial skin is lifted and tightened by removing excess fat through incisions under chin, around the ear, and hairline.
Changes may also be made to neck to create a new chin-neck line.
Removal of excess skin completes the process.
Procedure performed under either local or general anesthesia.

Recovery from Face Lift: You will be able to return home the same or following day.

Additionally, you can expect:

  • Dressing removed the day after surgery
  • Suture removal at 1-2 weeks
  • Swelling and bruising subside after 2 weeks
  • Numbness may last for several months
