Over the past few months, we've created the most effective total eyelid rejuvenation program in the country!

Our comprehensive approach blends laser blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery), Arcus Marginalis Release, and the LaserLyte PeelÆ to totally revitalize the areas around your eyes.

1. Eyelid Surgery: We are one of the only surgical centers in greater Boston using laser blepharoplasty. The laser offers several advantages over a traditional scalpel technique:



• Less bleeding
• Quicker surgery
• Speedier recovery
• Typically less bruising

Over the past several months we've been using the unique surgical approach of making the incision on the inside of the eyelid (as opposed to the standard outside of the eyelid). This helps preserve the natural shape of the lower eyelid and avoid the sad eyed look after surgery.

2. Arcus Marginalis Release: While eyelid surgery is a great procedure for correcting baggy, puffy eyelids, and loose skin, it does little to improve the dark circles under our eyes. Adding a procedure called Arcus Marginalis Release, releases a ligament that can cause those dark circles.



3. LaserLyte Peel: Eyelid surgery does little to improve the actual look of the skin, which may still appear old following surgery. We've added a superficial LaserLyte PeelÆ of the eyelid skin to remove wrinkles, eliminate brown spots, and tighten the skin, all with a downtime of only 3-5 days.

We are extremely excited about these new developments in eyelid rejuvenation. This will be of significant benefit to our eyelid surgery patients!

Advanced non-surgical treatments for cellulite are coming soon!

We've been offering the Synergie treatments for cellulite removal for several years now. While some patients have had great success, others have had only mediocre results. We are evaluating 3 different new non-surgical treatments for cellulite:

• Laser treatment
• Radiofrequency energy
• Ultrasound technology

As always, our first concern is the safety and effectiveness of the treatments we offer. We are currently doing a thorough evaluation of the technologies to see which best meets our criteria and standards.

Our goal is to begin offer effective cellulite treatment by this summer.

Lately, there has been heavy media attention focused on non-surgical skin tightening procedures.

These procedures are great for younger patients who see skin laxity on the face and neck.

Radiofrequency was one of the first high-tech skin tightening methods. ThermageÆ was the prototype, and LumenisÆ recently released their AlumaÆ system. While radiofrequency methods work, they can be painful.

Recently, infrared technologies have shown excellent results. PalomarÆ recently released its LuxIR FractionalÆ machine. It not only produces great results in skin tightening, but also a number of other areas:

• Removal of Brown Spots and Blood Vessels: Face, chest and hands can be treated with special IPL attachments.
• Rosacea Control: Palomar is a dramatic improvement in our ability to remove the redness caused by Rosacea.
• Removal of Spider Veins: This is one of the best treatments for spider vein treatment. Patients see the immediate results.
• A Real Acne Cure: Active acne is usually cleared after 2 to 3 treatments.

Palomar treatments are fast (approx. 25 mins.), and generally pain free.

We are currently the only physicians in the area trained to use the Palomar system.

One of the benefits of blending our two practices, is the synergy we've created in both our surgical techniques, and our combined experiences in non- surgical treatments.
