Corrugator resection is a surgical alternative to Botox that permanently removes frown lines between the brows. These lines, commonly referred to as the “11’s” become more noticeable as we age. This surgery is performed by removing part of the muscle that causes frowning through an incision in the upper eyelid. The surgery typically requires a recovery time of 10-14 days. The scar is very difficult to see since it is located in the upper eyelid crease. An upper lid blepharoplasty is usually performed simultaneously.
