Here are some Fall skin care tips from Cathy to get your skin back in shape after summer!

CLEANSE

Did you know it’s important to change your cleanser depending on the season?

In the summer months, your skin tends to have more oil. With the cooler weather, most people will need a more gentle moisturizing cleanser like DSP Antioxidant Foaming Wash. This cleanser is formulated with redness-reducing chamomile extract, collagen-building Hawaiian red sea algae peptides and potent antioxidants that protect against skin damage. Ongoing use yields softer, smoother skin along with a reduction in fine lines and surface dryness.

If you have sensitive skin, try DSP Creamy Botanical Face Wash, a gentle creamy wash for mature, sensitive, very dry skin.

EXFOLIATE

Pores can become clogged from regular sunblock use. Exfoliation with DSP Antioxidant Enzyme Scrub 3x/week will leave skin smooth and clean. It encourages the development of healthy skin cells and keeps skin free of impurities. Another form of exfoliation is DSP Refining and Exfoliating Toner with 2% Salicylic acid and 5% Glycolic acid to remove dead cell buildup and dissolve oil. Remnants of self-tanning products can collect in typically dry areas (such as the elbows), causing the skin to lose its luster and appear “dirty.” Using loofah and scrubs will help in those places.

MOISTURIZE

Using a moisturizer with antioxidants and nourishing vitamins helps brighten skin and reverse damage and deliver firmer and more vibrant skin. I recommend DSP Age Prevent & Repair Moisturizer, which contains a potent blend of antioxidants. For a drier skin type I recommend DSP Deep Sea Skin Renewal Crème.  This hydrating cream delivers visible skin improvement within the first weeks of use.

REMOVE BROWN SPOTS

Post-summer, you may notice more dark spots on your face. These spots are signs of sun damage and make you look older.

Fall is the perfect time to try IPL (Intense Pulse Light), which improves the appearance of photo damaged skin, removes age spots (sun induced freckles), and reduces redness caused by broken capillaries. There is minimal downtime and this gentle,   non-ablative procedure treats the face, chest, neck and hands.
