Our laser tattoo removal procedure is a great way to successfully remove unwanted tattoos created from blue or black inks, while leaving minimal scarring.
The laser directs pulses of light onto the tattoo to break up the pigment. While the laser tattoo removal procedure typically takes between 20 – 30 minutes, more than one session is sometimes needed to remove the entire tattoo.
Number of sessions depends on the amount and type of ink used, and how deeply it was injected. 3 week intervals are required between sessions to allow pigment to be absorbed by the body. Over the next several weeks, the body’s immune system removes the tattoo pigment from the treated areas.
Following the tattoo removal procedure, your skin might feel slightly sunburned for a couple of days and the treated area may remain red for a few weeks. Direct sun should be avoided during this period.
After healing, the site will gradually and continually fade.
