Is Peach Fuzz A Problems For You? Remove It The Right Way With Dermaplaning

April 18, 2014

We asked skin care specialist Cathy about which procedure she would recommend that many patients do not take advantage of.  She said that Dermaplaning, a treatment often added onto a facial, is one that patients don’t always know is available to them.

Dermaplaning exfoliates the epidermis and removes fine vellus hair, commonly known as “peach fuzz”.   Please note, this treatment is different from Dermabrasion, as service we also offer.  Dermaplaning is done by using a scalpel and carefully scraping the surface of the skin to remove hair using gentle feathering strokes.

This is a very quick, affordable procedure that is quickly gaining popularity.  There are no adverse effects and there is no downtime.  This a great “lunchtime” procedure meaning you can return after the procedure without any visible implications that you have had the procedure done.

Please remember this is a medical treatment and should be performed by a licensed skin care specialist like Rose or Cathy in our office.  If you are interested in Dermaplaning and would like to find out more information, you can visit our office for a complimentary skin care consultation.  Call (800) 559-3056 to schedule your appointment or fill out the contact form on our site.
