Breast Implant Repositioning
Over time, Breast Implants may shift depending on original implant method, and other factors. While it is rare for a breast implant to shift, it occasionally happens. Women may want to reposition Breast Implant(s) that have shifted. This procedure helps return balance to the breasts. Some of our patients also choose to have a Breast Implant Replacement, or additional Breast Augmentation.
The exact Breast Implant repositioning method used will depend on the patient’s situation. At The Adams Center, we are experts in all methods of breast implant repositioning. Dr. Williams has performed more than 200 successful breast implant repositioning procedures.
Breast Implant Exchange
Women choose to have their breast implants exchanged for a variety of reasons. These may include the desire to change to a different size, style, material, or shape. Additionally, breast implants wear out over time, this procedure can be used to replace an older set of implants.
The exact breast implant exchange method used will depend on the breast augmentation patient’s specific situation. However, the scar left by the original implant procedure can usually be used again for the exchange. You may return home the same day, or the next day following a Breast Implant Exchange. Most patients recover within 1 – 2 weeks after a Breast Implant Exchange.
Breast Implant Removal
Women choose to have their breast implants removed for a variety of reasons, both health and cosmetic. The exact breast implant removal method used will depend on the patient’s specific situation. However, the scar left by the original implant procedure can usually be used again for the removal. You may return home the same or next day following a Breast Implant Removal. Full recovery is generally within 1 — 2 weeks.
