A Patient Says Thank You To Dr. Adams and The Adams Center Staff - March 14, 2012

May Monthly Specials
“I just wanted to say that it was nice to meet you and thank you for being so great. I must say that the whole team has made this experience phenomenal. I was so scared and worried going in (that’s just me, no fault of anyone there) and all of you made me feel so much better. I am pleasantly surprised by how good I feel, the pain is very tolerable with the medication and I don’t think I will need it much longer. If I could have predicted this kind of outcome, I wouldn’t have been scared at all. Dr. Adams spoke with my husband while I was in recovery and my husband and I agree that he is the most personable doctor we’ve ever met. I can understand why you trust him so much. We are so happy that we chose The Adams Center for our procedure. ”

Know What To Expect The First Time You Have Botox – Watch These Informational Videos! - February 21, 2012

In this series of videos Adams Center Ambassador Teri has Botox injections as part of her Non Surgical Facial Rejuvenation Program. Thus far Teri has had a Vi Peel (chemical peel) and has been using medical grade Adams Center skin care products.

Teri has had Botox in the past and she said that this treatment went “as expected”. Following the procedure, she commented that the injections were not painful given the small size of the needle. Teri commented afterwards that her anticipation and fear of needles were the only negative aspects of the treatment. She was able to go about the rest of her day as usual and had minimal bruising from the Botox injections. The two small bruises she did have were easily covered up with make-up and disappeared within a couple of days.

About a week following treatment I asked Teri if she was satisfied with the results of her Botox treatment and this is what she had to say:

“By day 2 I really noticed a significant difference primarily on my forehead. I am eager to see how long the treatment is effective. I would definitely continue the use of botox given the results I have seen thus far!”

A Message From Our Adams Center Ambassador Terri - January 6, 2012

I am a 49 year old mother of two. I am a Lecturer at Harvard University’s Extension School and an independent IT consultant.
My biggest concerns about my face include the fine lines and wrinkles that have crept up around my eyes and mouth as well as the brown spots on my face and neck due to sun damage.
I’ve watched the tremendous advances in high tech anti-aging procedures over the past few years and am eager to be Dr. Adams’ first ambassador! While an ambassador I look forward to educating myself about the procedures to reverse the aging process and experiencing the various non-surgical treatments available.
I hope to rejuvenate my appearance and share my experiences and results with others.

Meet our First Adams Center Ambassadors! - December 30, 2011

After much deliberation we are happy to announce the results of The Adams Center Ambassador Contest.  Congratulations to Terri and Tom who will be sharing their experiences with you as they embark upon Dr. Adams’s Total Skin Rejuvenation Program.

Looking For A Permanent Alternative To Botox? - December 28, 2011

Corrugator resection is a surgical alternative to Botox that permanently removes frown lines between the brows. These lines, commonly referred to as the “11′s” become more noticeable as we age. This surgery is performed by removing part of the muscle that causes frowning through an incision in the upper eyelid. The surgery typically requires a recovery time of 10-14 days. The scar is very difficult to see since it is located in the upper eyelid crease. An upper lid blepharoplasty is usually performed simultaneously.

If you have questions about this surgery or any other surgeries or procedures performed at The Adams Center please feel free to contact us.

Boston, MA, Nov 14, 2011 - The Adams Center of Boston and Peabody, MA recently announced a contest to choose the next Adams Center Ambassador. The winner of the contest will be asked to narrate their personal journey as they undergo Dr. Adams’s High Tech Facial Rejuvenation Program free of charge. The program to reverse facial aging combines non-surgical procedures, laser treatments, and medical grade skin care products for a customized skin transformation.

The Adams Center Ambassador Program was designed to educate followers on non-surgical cosmetic procedures, treatments, and products. Ambassadors will narrate their personal transformation in the form of video interviews, personal written statements, and before and after photos. The program will be offered free of charge for the chosen patient.

“Our hope is that these personal narratives will assist you in achieving your own personal skin care goals. I view the Ambassador Program as a forum for education and hope followers will take the opportunity to participate by asking questions and sharing this information with friends and family,” says Dr. Adams.

The Adams Center is looking for eager candidates who are comfortable in sharing their personal skin care transformation. Finalists will be selected at the end of November and scheduled for a personal consultation with Dr. Adams. A male and female ambassador will be chosen from this group of finalists.

Colder Weather Signals It’s Time To Treat Unsightly Spider Veins - November 2, 2011

Schlerotherapy at The Adams Center Boston

As the temperatures begin to drop and we find ourselves spending more time indoors, it is a great time to treat unsightly spider veins. These reddish purple veins are commonly found on the thighs, calves, and ankles.  Spider Veins should not be confused with varicose veins.  Varicose veins are much larger in size and push the surface of the skin upward.  Treatment for varicose veins often requires surgery, whereas spider veins can be removed non-surgically.

Sclerotherapy is one popular treatment option that involves injecting a solution into several points along the vein.  The lining of the veins reacts to the solution and begins breaking down the vein’s walls.  Supportive stockings must be worn post treatment for compression, which assists in breaking down the vein walls.  The veins gradually disappear as they are absorbed back into the body.  This results in a more even, youthful appearance.

This is a non-surgical procedure that can be done in office.  However, please keep in mind you must wear supportive stockings post treatment for about two weeks, and the treated areas should be protected from the sun.

This month The Adams Center is offering 15% off Sclerotherapy treatment.

Boston Plastic Surgeon Specializes in Breast Augmentation, Having Performed Over 1000 Successful Surgeries - October 19, 2011

Boston, MA, October 17, 2011: Dr. William P. Adams, M.D., F.A.C.S., a board certified cosmetic surgeon and Director of The Adams Center is the leading expert for breast augmentation, having performed over 1000 successful breast enhancement surgeries.  Also known as Breast Enlargement, or Breast Enhancement, Dr. Adams uses a variety of breast implants including saline breast implants and silicone breast implants designed to fit the needs of each individual patient.

The Boston based plastic surgeon believes, “Beauty is subjective. Many of our patients say that a breast augmentation has helped improve their self confidence levels, and overall happiness about their bodies.  When people feel great about how they look, that shows in everything they do.”

The Adams Center provides the comfort and convenience of its own AAAASF accredited, state-of-the-art surgical center located in our Peabody office. This gives patients a greater level of comfort, care, convenience, and privacy than is possible in a hospital setting. However, Dr. Adams also maintains privileges at a local area hospital.  The Adams Center also offers concierge services for out of town patients that include local hotel accommodations and a private nurse to escort you to and from the hospital.

When considering plastic surgery, it is imperative for a potential patient to carefully evaluate surgeon qualifications, credentials, and experience.  The ASAPS recently launched their White Coat Deception Campaign urging the public to carefully investigate their cosmetic surgeon’s credentials and background.

What many consumers don’t know is that any medical doctor can actually perform plastic surgery, says Dr. Adams. “It’s important to evaluate your surgeon, and the facility where your surgery will be performed.  We have our own AAAASF [American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities] approved surgical center. The approval process is incredibly thorough. Not only is our operating room itself inspected, our staff’s credentials are evaluated and vetted, and all of our equipment is checked to make sure it’s ready, and up to date with the highest standards in care.”
