A Letter Of Gratitude For Boston Plastic Surgeon Dr. William P. Adams

August 12, 2014

We recently received this beautiful note from a patient of ours and thought we would share it with you!

Dear Dr. Adams,

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

As you know, I am 49 years old and for the last ten years I have dreamed of having plastic surgery as a gift to myself for my 50th birthday.  I had my first son 29 years ago and my second son 28 years ago.  As a single mother, under a very stressful situation, I gained 100 pounds by the time I reached 39.  At age 40, I decided to lose it and I did.  But much to my disappointment, my body did not “bounce back” into shape as it did 20 years prior after having my children.  Then, 2 years ago, I gained back 50 of it and said “ENOUGH!” and joined a gym.  I worked out hard every day for the last 2 years but no amount of crunches could get rid of the loose skin around my tummy and NOTHING could make my saggy breasts firm and perky again.

That is where you came in and made my dream/goal for the last 10 years come true!

After meeting with you I decided on the “Mommy Makeover” (breast lift/implants, tummy tuck, and some liposuction).  I felt the investment in myself was worth it.  I was worth it!  However, I had never been operated on before and I was very nervous and anxious.  Your warmth and compassion and smile and sense of humor (joking about my fear of needles!) helped put me at ease.

Your warm, friendly bedside manner combined with your skill and talent as a plastic surgeon made this whole process so much easier for me and so worth it!

I cannot thank you enough!

Also, a big thank you to your staff and also the hospital staff at Lynn Union (I am sending a separate letter to the Director of Nurses there as well).  Your office staff is so warm, wonderful, and friendly too!

Thanks to all of you!
